Summer Update

It's been a few months since we have had an update and during that time many changes have been made and we were introduced to Beryl.

There are changes in the office staff and hours. Terri Sepulveda has stepped down from her duties to be able to spend more time taking care of her mother. We now have Veronica Ferguson in the office and she is anxious to meet the Canyon Park population. Feel free to come in and say Hi and introduce yourself. The new office hours effective immediately are Monday-Thursday 10 am to 2 pm. The office will no longer be open on Fridays.

We all got to meet Beryl and I am sure most of you would agree that we would have rather do without that introduction. Many people in the subdivision had trees down and we all suffered the power outages and down lines. PLEASE REMEMBER! As your clean-up continues IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO DISPOSE OF YOUR YARD DEBRIS. The City of Onalaska or Polk County DOES NOT provide cleanup of this nature. It is suggested to burn your debris, while following all city ordinances and exercising extreme caution. Please avoid burning in the easements to avoid damage to any underground cables, piping, or above ground wiring.

Residents and business owners who suffered losses due to Beryl in the counties of Brazoria, Chambers, Galveston, Harris, Jackson, Jasper, Jefferson, Liberty, Matagorda, Montgomery, Orange, Polk, San Jacinto, Walker and Wharton, are now able to start applying for federal aid through FEMA, the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the U.S. Small Business Administration.
